About The Position
Peterson Health is hiring full-time Registered Nurses for Women's Services. The RN assesses each patient's needs and plans nursing care addressing spiritual, emotional, physiological, and psychosocial needs. The RN carries out the plan through personal performance and/or leadership of subordinate personnel, then evaluates and documents the patient's response to care. The listed shift information specifies days, 7 a.m.–7 p.m.; the overview also says day and night shifts are available.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Patient-care assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Knowledge and ability to perform skills necessary for unit-specific competencies, including age-specific competencies.
- Current and unrestricted Texas Registered Nurse license.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification.
- Previous labor and delivery (L&D) experience.
Nice To Haves
- Graduate of a BSN program or actively enrolled in one.
- Advanced competencies demonstrated through participation in formal Continuing Nursing Education activities.
- Six to twelve months of experience as an RN in an inpatient medical-surgical setting.
