About The Position
Peterson Health is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for Women's Services. The position works three 12-hour shifts, with the listed schedule being day shift from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The overview also notes that day and night shifts are available. The RN assesses each patient's needs and plans nursing care to address spiritual, emotional, physiological, and psychosocial needs. The RN ensures the plan of care is carried out through personal performance and/or leadership of subordinate personnel, then evaluates and documents the patient's response verbally and in writing. Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current and unrestricted Texas Registered Nurse license.
- Current Basic Life Support certification.
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification.
- Previous labor and delivery (L&D) experience.
- Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Effective verbal and written communication.
- Knowledge and ability to perform skills required for unit-specific and age-specific competencies.
Nice To Haves
- Graduate of a BSN program or actively enrolled in one.
- Advanced competencies demonstrated through participation in formal Continuing Nursing Education activities.
- Six to twelve months of experience as an RN in an inpatient medical-surgical setting.
Responsibilities
- Assess the needs of each patient on the unit.
- Plan nursing care to meet patients' spiritual, emotional, physiological, and psychosocial needs.
- Carry out the plan of care through the RN's own performance and/or leadership of subordinate personnel.
- Evaluate patients' responses to care and document the evaluation verbally and in writing.
