About The Position

Select Medical Rehabilitation - Miami Lakes is seeking a Registered Nurse for its inpatient rehabilitation hospital, housed inside Select Specialty Hospital - Miami Lakes. The hospital provides compassionate care for individuals facing medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges related to brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas. The position is per diem (PRN). An extensive orientation program supports a smooth transition into the setting, and strong performance may lead to potential full-time opportunities. Part-time and per-diem employees may qualify for 401(k) benefits after reaching 1,000 hours within their first anniversary or a subsequent calendar year.

Requirements

• Valid state RN license.
• At least one year of RN experience.
• BLS certification required at hire.

Nice To Haves

• BSN or enrollment in a BSN program.
• Clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive admissions and/or transfers.
• Conduct initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
• Document patient care accurately and on time using EPIC.
• Interpret assessment and diagnostic data, including laboratory results and telemetry.
• Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
• Instruct and counsel patients and families.
