About The Position
Heritage Specialty Care, a skilled nursing and long‑term care community in Cedar Rapids, IA, is now hiring Registered Nurses (RN) to join our compassionate healthcare team. Care Initiatives supports 40+ skilled nursing and long‑term care communities across Iowa. Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing in Iowa (or ability to obtain)
- Current CPR Certification
Nice To Haves
- Experience in skilled nursing or long‑term care preferred (not required)
- Compassionate, dependable, and resident‑focused nursing approach
Responsibilities
- Provide high‑quality nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing / long‑term care (LTC) setting
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
- Monitor resident conditions and respond promptly to changes in health status
- Support daily clinical operations while ensuring resident safety and quality outcomes
- Collaborate with CNAs, LPNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members
- Communicate effectively with residents and families regarding care needs and care plans
- Complete accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Follow all infection control, safety, and compliance standards
