About The Position
Heritage Specialty Care, a 171-bed long-term care skilled nursing community located in Cedar Rapids, IA, is now hiring Registered Nurses (RN) to join our compassionate healthcare team. Care Initiatives supports over 40 skilled nursing and long-term care communities across Iowa. This role offers consistent day shifts and the opportunity to build meaningful resident relationships.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing in Iowa (or ability to obtain)
- Current CPR Certification
- Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused nursing approach
Nice To Haves
- Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing / long-term care (LTC) setting
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
- Monitor resident conditions and respond promptly to changes in health status
- Support daily clinical operations while ensuring resident safety and quality outcomes
- Collaborate with CNAs, LPNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members
- Communicate effectively with residents and families regarding care needs and care plans
- Complete accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Follow all infection control, safety, and compliance standards
