New Grad RN Progressive Care
About The Position
Baptist Health Floyd is seeking a new graduate Registered Nurse for its 32-bed Progressive Care Unit (PCU), an intermediate level of care between inpatient and critical care units. The unit specializes in cardiovascular care and also treats patients with diagnoses including congestive heart failure, dysrhythmias, diabetic ketoacidosis, respiratory issues, and sepsis. Nurses work with an interdisciplinary team to provide care for a high-acuity patient population and develop assessment skills while managing drips and specialized procedures. This full-time position is scheduled for 36 hours weekly on the night shift, from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. New graduate RNs and LPNs are welcome to apply. Requirements
- Current Indiana or compact-state RN license, or graduation from an approved nursing program.
- BLS for Healthcare Provider certification.
- ACLS certification within 12 months of hire.
Responsibilities
- Provide and be accountable for direct, comprehensive nursing care from patient admission through discharge.
- Function as an on-shift team member providing direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers.
- Care for a high-acuity patient population in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.
- Manage drips and perform specialized procedures.
