New Grad RN Progressive Care
About The Position
Baptist Health Floyd is seeking a new graduate Registered Nurse for its 32-bed Progressive Care Unit (PCU), an intermediate level of care between inpatient and critical care units. The unit specializes in cardiovascular care and treats patients with a variety of diagnoses, including CHF, dysrhythmias, DKA, respiratory issues, and sepsis. Nurses work with an interdisciplinary team to care for a high-acuity patient population and can develop assessment skills while managing several drips and performing specialized procedures. New graduate RNs and LPNs are welcome. The RN is responsible and accountable for providing direct, comprehensive nursing care from patient admission through discharge. As an on-shift team member, the RN provides direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers. This is a full-time position working 36 hours weekly on nights, from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Baptist Health Floyd is a Pathway to Excellence® designated organization and offers competitive salaries and benefits. Requirements
- Current Indiana or compact-state RN license, or graduation from an approved nursing program.
- BLS for Healthcare Provider certification.
- ACLS certification, to be obtained within 12 months of hire.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct, comprehensive nursing care for patients from admission through discharge.
- Work as an on-shift team member to provide direct patient care that meets the needs of patients, families, and co-workers.
- Work with an interdisciplinary team to care for a high-acuity patient population.
