About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the NICU assesses, diagnoses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care through outcome identification and evidence-based practice. As an integral member of the healthcare team, the RN coordinates care and collaborates with other healthcare team members, patients, and patients’ families or significant others while maintaining high standards of professional ethics. Level 3 NICU experience is required. The role is based on-site at Virtua Health’s Voorhees location and works a 12-hour night shift, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., with 36 total weekly hours.

Requirements

Level 3 NICU experience required.
Knowledge of nursing skills, hospital practices, procedures, and standards.
Valid New Jersey RN license; approved licenses must be presented and maintained in accordance with the State of New Jersey Licensing Board.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to coordinate the efforts of a team of care providers.
Maintain and develop nursing skills through ongoing education and review of current nursing practice.

Responsibilities
