About The Position

Join the team as a full-time, day-shift Pre Operation Registered Nurse (RN) in Tyler, Texas. The RN is a professional caregiver who uses the nursing process to provide and direct patient care for a group of patients during a designated time frame. UT Health Tyler is the system’s flagship hospital and serves hundreds of thousands of people annually. Its Midtown location provides advanced acute care, including a Level I trauma center, a comprehensive stroke center, the region’s only EMCO program, and a Level III NICU. Requirements

Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Maintain a current Texas RN license.
Obtain BLS certification within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and before providing direct patient care.
ACLS certification.
Obtain PALS certification within 90 days of hire.
Competence in ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and critical care medications, including medications that may or may not require titration.
Thorough knowledge of airway management and rescue methods.
Knowledge of pediatric and adult Phase 1 and Phase 2 care.
Maintain knowledge of ASPAN Standards.
