About The Position

The Registered Nurse – Pre-Op provides pre-operative nursing care, including patient assessment and preparation, care planning, intervention, and evaluation. This is a full-time position working 8-hour day shifts. The nurse must participate in required weeknight, Friday, and weekend on-call rotations; the call schedule may change. Requirements

• Active Kansas Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
• Strong patient assessment, pre-operative preparation, care planning, intervention, and evaluation skills.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, documentation, and interdisciplinary teamwork skills.
• Ability to work full-time 8-hour day shifts.
• Must not have previously applied directly to this position to be eligible for agency submission.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Recent hospital experience within the past 5 years.
• Ambulatory Surgery, Pre-Op, PACU, or perioperative nursing experience.
• Current AHA BLS or American Red Cross CPR/AED for Healthcare Provider certification is highly preferred; it must be completed within the first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and prepare them for surgery.
• Plan, deliver, and evaluate patient care and interventions.
• Participate in required weeknight, Friday, and weekend on-call rotations.
