About The Position

The Registered Nurse works in the Medical Surgical department at ASV Jennings in North Vernon, Indiana, on a full-time night schedule. The role implements and monitors patient care plans, tracks and communicates patient condition, coordinates care across disciplines, carries out physician and nursing orders, and collaborates with the healthcare team on discharge planning.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse credential from the Indiana Board of Nursing, obtained before the hire date or job transfer date.
• BLS Provider certification, or instructor specialization in Basic Life Support, obtained within 30 days of the hire date or job transfer date; American Heart Association or American Red Cross credentials are accepted.
• Diploma from an accredited school or college of nursing, or required professional licensure at the time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate the patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
