About The Position

Saint Clare's Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Medical/Surgical Unit. The nurse delivers safe, direct patient care within the scope of practice using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The role includes directing and guiding patient and family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care. The nurse is directly responsible and accountable for care provided to assigned patients, communicates clinical changes to physicians, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptoms, and responds promptly and accurately to changes in patient condition or treatment response.

Requirements

• Hold a current and valid state RN license.
• Have a current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain it.
• Obtain a current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain it (preferred).

Nice To Haves

• Previous acute care hospital experience.
• Ventilator management experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Current ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Direct and guide patient and family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Maintain standards of care within the Medical/Surgical Unit.
• Remain accountable for the care provided to assigned patients.
• Communicate changes in patients’ clinical conditions to physicians, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptoms.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment.
