About The Position
The Medical/Surgical Telemetry Unit at Deaconess Henderson is a 45-bed unit caring for adult inpatient and observation patients with a wide range of medical, surgical, and telemetry needs. Patients may have conditions including diabetes, COPD, pneumonia, asthma, CHF, post-MI, CVA, GI conditions, and post-surgical recovery needs. This fast-moving environment offers broad clinical experience with acute and chronic conditions. Nurses work closely with an interdisciplinary team, coordinate care, educate families, and support patients as they move toward recovery. The unit emphasizes teamwork and provides varied experience that helps nurses build confidence, sharpen clinical judgment, and develop their skills.
Requirements
- Active Kentucky RN license or valid compact RN license.
Responsibilities
- Provide care to adult inpatient and observation patients with medical, surgical, and telemetry needs.
- Coordinate patient care in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.
- Educate patients’ families.
- Support patients as they move toward recovery.
