About The Position
The Registered Nurse works on the General Medicine team at St. Mary Medical Center, caring for a diverse population of acute-care patients, including post-operative and telemetry patients. The unit is fast-paced and offers opportunities to develop clinical expertise through teamwork, critical thinking, and collaboration. The team emphasizes mutual support, interdisciplinary partnerships, and patient-centered care. The RN protects, promotes, and restores health and wellness by practicing at the highest level of Registered Nurse licensure and coordinating care across the continuum with providers and multidisciplinary team members. The role includes assessing and supporting patients’ physical symptoms, providing psychological support to patients and their friends and families, mentoring assigned team members, promoting best practices, and maintaining a professional disposition. The RN Hospital Inpatient/ED works in hospital units that provide care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse licensure from the State Board of Nursing in the appropriate state (Illinois or Michigan).
- Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification before the employment start date.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Experience as an RN in a healthcare environment.
- Basic proficiency with Electronic Medical Records and Microsoft applications.
Responsibilities

Benefits
- Pay range of $34.25–$51.13 per hour, based on years of licensure.
- Weekend shift differential of $3.25 per hour.
- Sign-on bonus of $10,000 for new graduates or $20,000 for candidates with at least one year of experience.
- Candidates with at least five years of direct experience receive 24 hours of frontloaded vacation and holiday time.
