About The Position

Sanford Health is hiring a part-time Registered Nurse for evening shifts at Good Samaritan Society – Albert Lea, an 80-bed long-term skilled care and transitional care facility in southern Minnesota. The RN uses the nursing process to provide individualized care to residents and collaborates with residents, families, providers, and interdisciplinary colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate care. The position is scheduled for 24 hours per week (48 hours per bi-weekly pay period), working 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The schedule includes every other weekend and rotating holidays. The role requires a Minnesota RN license. Compensation is $36.00–$48.00 per hour, and a $7,000 sign-on bonus is available if eligibility requirements are met.

Requirements

Hold an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where practice occurs, or hold multistate licensure if practicing in a Nurse Licensure Compact state.
Be a licensed RN in Minnesota for this position.
Obtain and maintain required department-specific competencies and certifications.

Nice To Haves

Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program, such as a program accredited by CCNE, ACEN, or NLN CNEA.
Bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Responsibilities

Use the nursing process to provide individualized resident care.
Collaborate with residents, families, providers, and interdisciplinary colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate care.
Demonstrate competency and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise, using age- and population-specific standards for the assigned clinical setting.
Care for residents through preventive care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment.
Coordinate care, assess residents, provide resident education, and perform other nursing interventions.
May serve as charge nurse and delegate appropriate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel.
Support delegates to ensure safe and reliable resident care and resolve care and service concerns.
Practice according to the Nurse Practice Act and applicable administrative rules, professional nursing standards, and the ANA Code of Ethics.
