About The Position

Care Initiatives is hiring a Registered Nurse to provide compassionate nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing environment. This full-time evening position is scheduled from 2 PM to 10 PM and is available across more than 40 skilled nursing communities throughout Iowa. The role supports daily clinical operations, promotes resident safety, and works with interdisciplinary team members to provide high-quality care.

Requirements

• Valid RN license in good standing, valid in Iowa or with the ability to activate it.
• Current, valid CPR certification.
• Knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations and laws.
• Commitment to helping others and consistently treating them with empathy, respect, patience, and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing environment.
• Support daily clinical operations on the unit and promote quality care and resident safety.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time.
• Monitor resident conditions and respond promptly to changes in status.
• Collaborate with CNAs, LPNs, providers, and other interdisciplinary team members.
• Communicate with residents and families regarding care needs.
• Document care accurately in accordance with clinical, regulatory, and facility standards.
• Follow infection control, safety, and compliance protocols.
