About The Position

Requirements

Current and valid state RN license.
Current AHA BLS certification upon hire and maintained thereafter.
Current AHA ACLS certification upon hire and maintained thereafter.
At least six months to one year of staff nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting; critical care experience is required.
Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate within six months of hire and maintained thereafter.

Responsibilities

Monitor quality of care, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
Implement immediate changes to care plans to promote patient safety.
Conduct patient and family rounding to enhance the patient experience.
Serve as a resource for patients, families, and staff.
Provide direct patient care as needed to maintain safe staffing ratios.
Support daily unit operations and communicate patient care or safety concerns.
Manage staffing, scheduling, and assignments.
Supervise, coach, and evaluate staff; assist with performance management.
Ensure adequate supplies, equipment functionality, and inventory levels.
Coordinate with departments to support efficient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
Oversee nursing staff and patient care during the assigned shift.
