About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for a flexible pool assignment on night shifts. The role involves floating between medical and surgical units and providing high-quality patient care in various settings. Shifts are 12 hours, from 18:45 to 07:15. After the first week of orientation, the schedule is 36 hours per week, with no guaranteed hours. Holiday coverage is required. Professional nursing attire, including clean scrubs, is required.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
• Current State of Hawaii nursing license required by the start of the assignment.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.

Nice To Haves

• PALS certification.
• Procedural Sedation certification.
• TNCC certification.
• ENPC certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Medical Unit, Laulima Unit, and Cardiovascular Unit.
• Use Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vacs, and chest tubes.
• Maintain stated nurse-to-patient ratios: Medical Unit—1:6 on days and evenings and 1:8 on nights; Laulima Unit—1:6; Cardiovascular Unit—1:4.
• Participate in orientation programs for unit-specific training.
• Provide holiday coverage.
