About The Position

Individuals in this job classification assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document care activities in accordance with HHS standards to deliver efficient, effective, and quality patient care. The Registered Nurse must provide care appropriate to the ages of patients served on the assigned unit, understand principles of growth and development across the lifespan, assess information reflecting patient status, and interpret that information to identify age-specific patient needs. The RN plans patient care, including developing, modifying, and implementing the plan of care in accordance with HHS standards and Patient Care policies and procedures. The RN must comply with the rules and regulations of the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act. This position is designated as safety-sensitive under 63 O.S. § 427.8 and is subject to the Alcohol and Drug-Free Workplace Policy and applicable zero-tolerance standards regarding marijuana, including for individuals with a valid medical marijuana license, and other intoxicating substances as permitted by Oklahoma law.

Requirements

Associate degree (2 years).
Valid Oklahoma RN license.
BLS certification required.
Demonstrated knowledge and skills to provide age-appropriate patient care.
Ability to assess patient-status data and interpret information to identify age-specific patient requirements.

Responsibilities

Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient care activities in accordance with HHS standards.
Provide care appropriate to the ages of patients served on the assigned unit, applying lifespan growth and development principles and identifying age-specific needs.
Develop, modify, and implement patient plans of care in accordance with HHS standards and Patient Care policies and procedures.
Comply with the rules and regulations set forth by the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act.
