About The Position

Brighton/Suncrest Hospice is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide compassionate, individualized hospice care wherever patients call home, including private residences, skilled nursing facilities, and assisted living communities. The nurse collaborates with an interdisciplinary team—including nurses, social workers, chaplains, CNAs, and volunteers—to develop care plans supporting patients’ and families’ physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.

The organization emphasizes manageable caseloads, higher staff-to-patient ratios, mindful drive times, and strong clinical support so nurses can spend meaningful time with patients and families. This is a full-time, Monday-through-Friday day role, with an occasional on-call rotation. Compensation is $50–$58 per hour, depending on experience, plus bonus opportunities.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in good standing in the state or states of practice.
• At least 1 year of hospice experience.
• Ability to work collaboratively with nurses, social workers, chaplains, volunteers, and CNA leadership.
• Ability to work independently on a day-to-day basis.
• Time-management skills to manage visits, documentation, and meetings, and to prioritize and triage concerns.
• Ability to learn an electronic medical records system.
• Willingness to drive, with reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized hospice care to patients in private residences, skilled nursing facilities, and assisted living communities.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to develop care plans that support patients’ and families’ physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
• Manage patient visits, documentation, and meetings; prioritize and triage multiple concerns and respond to urgent needs.
• Communicate by phone, email, and in writing with patients and healthcare professionals.
• Travel across the service area to visit patients.
