About The Position
Shasta Regional Medical Center, a 226-bed acute care facility and member of Prime Healthcare, is hiring a Registered Nurse for Nursing Administration. The hospital serves Northern California and provides a comprehensive range of services. It highlights its patient-centered care and recognition for cardiovascular care, patient safety, and several specialty certifications. The Registered Nurse delivers safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, and provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The nurse directs and guides patient and family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit. The RN is accountable for care provided to assigned patients, communicates clinical changes to physicians—including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptoms—and responds promptly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment.
Requirements
- Current and valid state RN license.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain it.
- Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain it.
- Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Previous acute care hospital experience.
- Ventilator management experience.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe patient care using assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
- Direct and guide patient and family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
- Maintain standards of care in the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit.
- Remain directly responsible and accountable for care provided to assigned patients.
- Communicate changes in patients’ clinical conditions to physicians, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptoms.
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment.
