About The Position
Knoxville Center for Behavioral Medicine is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care to people receiving services in a supportive, therapeutic environment, within the scope of the RN’s professional license. The nurse assesses physical and behavioral health needs, develops and implements nursing care plans, maintains medical records, and educates patients and their families about physical and behavioral health conditions. The facility provides acute inpatient behavioral health care and outpatient treatment for adults and geriatric adults experiencing severe behavioral health symptoms and/or substance use disorders. The position serves patients who may require inpatient hospitalization for mental disorders, including cognitive illnesses, in an acute-intervention setting focused on short-term stays.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care within the scope of the professional license.
- Assess patients’ physical and behavioral health needs.
- Develop and implement nursing care plans.
- Maintain medical records.
- Educate patients and their families about physical and behavioral health conditions.
- Provide and coordinate care in a supportive and therapeutic environment.
