About The Position

NiteLines USA is seeking a Psychiatric Registered Nurse to provide nursing services at the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services in Concord, New Hampshire. This is a 1099 position paying $68.00 per hour, with a $2,500 sign-on bonus. Available shifts are days, 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m., or evenings, 3:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m.; both schedules are five 8-hour shifts. Orientation takes place on the first shift for four weeks. The nurse will provide psychiatric and general nursing care, including patient assessments, medication administration, treatments, clinical monitoring, and documentation in the electronic health record. The role also involves communicating and documenting findings in accordance with agency policies and declaring a personal safety emergency when immediate action is needed to protect someone from harm or injury.

Requirements

At least 2 years of psychiatric experience.
Valid Registered Nurse license.
BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

Conduct physical assessments, including psychiatric or admission assessments.
Administer medications.
Process physician orders.
Monitor vital signs.
Test blood glucose levels.
Complete treatments.
Conduct pain assessments.
Change dressings.
Provide venipuncture services.
Use the electronic health record (EHR) to obtain clinical information and document patient care.
Communicate verbally and in writing to report related findings in accordance with agency policies.
Declare a personal safety emergency when a situation puts an individual's physical or emotional safety at risk and immediate action is necessary to prevent harm or injury.
