About The Position

This is a travel Registered Nurse assignment for a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) facility in Albuquerque, NM. The assignment is for 10 weeks, with a start date of 09/01/2026. The role involves providing direct patient care to adult residents, administering medications and treatments, performing wound care, monitoring vital signs, documenting in the electronic medical record, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. The position requires the nurse to work three 12-hour night shifts per week.

Requirements

Active Registered Nurse license in New Mexico
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Minimum 1 year of RN experience in LTAC, skilled nursing, or a related long-term care setting
Ability to work 3x12-hour night shifts

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care to adult residents in a long-term acute care setting, including monitoring and reassessment of condition.
Administer medications and treatments per physician orders; manage IV therapy and related procedures within scope.
Perform wound care, dressing changes, and routine skilled nursing procedures; monitor for signs of infection or deterioration.
Monitor vitals, interpret data, respond promptly to changes in patient status, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to update care plans.
Document accurately in the electronic medical record; ensure safe discharge planning and patient-family communication.
