About The Position

This is a travel - temporary assignment for a Physical Therapy Assistant (LTAC) in Silver City, New Mexico. The assignment is for 13 weeks, starting on 09/21/2026. The role involves providing physical therapy assistant services under supervision as part of the LTAC rehab team, implementing and monitoring prescribed plans of care, assisting with patient evaluation and documentation, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team. The setting is an LTAC within a long-term care environment.

Requirements

• NM caregiver account onboarding requirement for agencies (per Job Notes)
• Available for a 13-week travel assignment with guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Ability to work daytime hours on a 5x8 schedule (08:00–16:30 per notes)
• Eligible to travel to and work in Silver City, NM for the assignment
• Willing to pass standard credentialing and background checks per policy

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy assistant services under supervision as part of the LTAC rehab team
• Implement and monitor prescribed plans of care, including therapeutic exercise, ROM, gait training, balance, and functional mobility
• Assist with patient evaluation/data collection, progress notes, and documentation in the chart
• Monitor patient response and communicate findings to the supervising PT; modify interventions as indicated
• Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
• Maintain infection control, equipment safety, and compliance with facility policies and documentation standards
