About The Position
Sentara CarePlex Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Medical/Surgical Cardiac Unit. This is a 24-bed Medical/Surgical Cardiac Unit where we care for patients on telemetry monitoring. The patients are here to determine the next step needed in their care - which may be a cardiac cath, transfer to the heart hospital for surgery on their heart, or having a diagnostic test such as a stress test or echocardiogram. As a Registered Nurse with Sentara, you can excel in your career. There are many different specialties where you can perform and grow your nursing skills in areas of interest to you. This position's primary duties include assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, giving medications, talking with family members, and being responsible for the overall care of your patients. Requirements
- Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire
- RN-Associate’s Degree, or RN-Bachelor’s Degree, or RN-Diploma, or RN-Master’s Degree
