About The Position
Seeking a full-time Spanish-bilingual Registered Nurse for a plasma donor clinic in San Diego, California. This nursing role focuses on conducting initial health assessments of potential blood donors to determine whether they are suitable for plasma donation. The clinic is open seven days per week, and nurses must be able to work occasional weekends.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN).
- Spanish bilingual.
- Ability to work occasional weekends.
Responsibilities
- Conduct donor intake and initial health assessments.
- Take vital signs and perform a finger-stick.
- Conduct a head-to-toe medical examination.
- Refer donors who pass the assessment to the phlebotomy team for blood donation.
- Counsel donors who do not meet donation requirements about measures they can take to qualify next time.
