About The Position

Wilson Medical Center is hiring a PRN Registered Nurse for its adult behavioral health unit. The position uses specialized plan-of-care interventions and nursing expertise to support patient well-being and exceptional patient journeys. The 19-bed unit treats adults with diagnoses including major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, borderline personality disorder, and substance use disorder. Patients may experience psychosis, suicidal or homicidal ideation, mania, or exacerbations of mental illness. The nurse works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team in a supportive environment focused on quality care for people experiencing behavioral health crises.

Requirements

• Current state Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Nursing degree from an accredited program.
• At least one year of RN experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Use specialized plan-of-care interventions to provide patient care.
• Apply nursing skills and technology to support patient well-being and patient journeys.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary behavioral health team to provide quality care and support.
