Registered Nurse (RN), Psych - PRN
About The Position
Wilson Medical Center is hiring a PRN Registered Nurse for its Adult Behavioral Health Unit. The RN uses specialized plan-of-care interventions and serves as a patient-care innovator, helping shape patient journeys and support patient well-being through nursing skills and technology. The role is part of a collaborative team focused on quality care for individuals experiencing behavioral health crises. The 19-bed unit treats patients with diagnoses including major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, borderline personality disorder, and substance use disorder. Patients may present with psychosis, suicidal or homicidal ideation, mania, or exacerbations of mental illness. The multidisciplinary team includes RNs, certified nursing assistants, mental health technicians, social work therapists, recreational therapists, and psychiatric providers.
Requirements
- Current state RN license.
- Nursing degree from an accredited program.
- Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
- One year of RN experience required.
