About The Position

UPMC Home Health is hiring full-time Registered Nurses to provide one-on-one skilled nursing care in patients’ homes in Irwin, North Versailles, and surrounding communities. Assignments are based on patient needs and proximity to the nurse’s home. The role offers independent practice supported by an interdisciplinary team, opportunities to build meaningful relationships with patients and families, and a more sustainable pace of nursing. Flexible scheduling is available with 8- or 10-hour shifts, as well as a dedicated weekend program with premium pay and benefits. Sign-on bonuses are available for new graduates and experienced nurses. Nurses can advance through a clinical career ladder while remaining in patient care. Mileage is reimbursed at the federal rate, and UPMC benefits include medical coverage, retirement, tuition reimbursement, and discounted RN-to-BSN programs. The nurse delivers skilled care in patients’ homes throughout assigned Pittsburgh-area communities; develops and manages plans of care in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary partners; provides education to patients and families to promote independence and recovery; and completes electronic documentation, including OASIS, visit notes, and orders, using a provided laptop. The role contributes to patient-centered outcomes while maintaining regulatory standards. Final title and compensation depend on experience, education, and career ladder placement.
