About The Position
Arnot Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate Emergency Department Registered Nurse to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to people experiencing acute illness, injury, mental health crises, or trauma. The RN works collaboratively with physicians, advanced practice providers, support staff, and interdisciplinary teams. The position is onsite at 600 Roe Ave, Elmira, NY 14905, and works the night shift with weekend and holiday rotation. The standard pay rate is $43.70–$53.20 per hour, plus benefits. Qualified RNs may be eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $25,000.
Requirements
- Current New York State nursing licensure, a limited permit, or eligibility for licensure.
- BLS and ACLS certification required or to be obtained within 30 days of employment.
Nice To Haves
- Strong clinical thinking and communication skills.
- Previous critical care experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize care based on acuity.
- Provide emergency nursing care, including medication administration, IV therapy, and cardiac monitoring.
- Accurately document patient care in the electronic health record.
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans and discharge instructions.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, advanced practice providers, and support staff.
- Work with other interdisciplinary teams.
