About The Position
Arnot Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate Emergency Department Registered Nurse to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals experiencing acute illness, injury, mental health crises, or trauma. The nurse works collaboratively with physicians, advanced practice providers, support staff, and interdisciplinary teams. This is an onsite role at 600 Roe Ave, Elmira, NY 14905, on the evening shift with weekend and holiday rotation.
Requirements
- Current New York State nursing licensure, a limited permit, or eligibility for licensure.
- BLS and ACLS certification required, or to be obtained within 30 days of employment.

- Strong clinical thinking and communication skills.
- Previous critical care experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize care based on acuity.
- Provide emergency nursing care, including medication administration, IV therapy, and cardiac monitoring.
- Accurately document patient care in the electronic health record.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, advanced practice providers, and support staff.
- Work with other interdisciplinary teams.
