Registered Nurse RN FT Days and Nights Acute Rehab RN
About The Position
Peterson Health is hiring full-time Acute Rehab Registered Nurses for day and night shifts. The role works 12-hour shifts: days from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and nights from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. The RN assesses each patient’s needs and plans nursing care to address spiritual, emotional, physiological, and psychosocial needs. The RN ensures that the plan of care is carried out through direct care and/or leadership of subordinate personnel, then evaluates and documents patients’ responses verbally and in writing. Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Unrestricted Texas Registered Nurse license.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- Patient-care assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Knowledge and ability to perform skills required for unit-specific competencies, including age-specific competencies.
- Eligibility to participate in a new RN Preceptorship program.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Advanced competencies demonstrated through participation in formal Continuing Nursing Education activities.
- Six to twelve months of experience as an RN in an inpatient medical-surgical setting.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Responsibilities
- Assess each patient’s needs on the unit.
- Plan nursing care to address patients’ spiritual, emotional, physiological, and psychosocial needs.
- Carry out the plan of care through direct performance and/or leadership of subordinate personnel.
- Evaluate patients’ responses to care and document those responses verbally and in writing.
