About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides, directs, and supervises patient care on the nursing unit using the nursing process, under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager, or Charge Nurse. The role includes planning and coordinating care, interdisciplinary and discharge planning, teaching patients and families about post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. The RN may perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including serving as a Charge Nurse when appropriately certified. Requirements
- Current registered nurse (RN) licensure in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if the state participates.
- Current BLS certification; certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment.
- Evidence of ACLS certification within 90 days of employment.
- Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.
Nice To Haves
- One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
