Registered Nurse - CVICU
About The Position
We are hiring a full-time night-shift Registered Nurse for the CVICU (Critical Care Unit) at the Saint Luke's Plaza location. The role is suited to a nurse who leads naturally, supports peers, and is dedicated to patient-centered care. The nurse will work with a supportive, solution-focused team and leadership that encourages learning, mentorship, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement. The nurse is accountable for utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting; providing patient care; delegating care tasks and supervising other patient-care staff; and coordinating care for assigned patients. The nurse consults with other members of the healthcare team when indicated to support optimal patient outcomes and demonstrates proficiency while following applicable policies, rules, guidelines, and procedures. The schedule is night shift, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., seven days per week. Schedules are written 8–10 weeks in advance.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of applicable experience.
- Current Registered Nurse (MO) credential through the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
- Associate degree in Nursing.
- Strong time-management, teamwork, communication, and multitasking skills.
Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process in a hospital setting.
- Perform patient care, delegate patient-care tasks, and supervise other patient-care staff.
- Coordinate the plan of care for a group of assigned patients.
- Consult with other members of the healthcare team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
