About The Position

The Registered Nurse on the 5th Floor Surgical Telemetry unit is responsible and accountable for providing direct, comprehensive nursing care to patients from admission through discharge. The nurse reviews and documents care provided, patient outcomes, and evaluations of care. The role follows professional standards of care and applies evidence, professional standards, and best practices to bedside caregiving through critical thinking, experiential evidence, and evidence-based practices. The nurse prioritizes care according to changing patient assessments and needs.

Requirements

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ADN) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kentucky.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Must obtain Crisis Prevention within 6 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Recent experience in the specialty.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited institution.
