About The Position

The Registered Nurse works in the Telemetry Unit at St. Francis Hospital and delivers safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The nurse provides direct patient care within the scope of practice and is accountable for care delivered to assigned patients. The role includes guiding patient and family education and the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care. The nurse communicates changes in a patient’s clinical condition to physicians, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptoms, and responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or treatment response.

Requirements

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.

Nice To Haves

• Previous acute care hospital experience.
• Ventilator management experience.
• Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) or similar certification.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Responsibilities
