About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Telemetry Unit delivers safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN provides direct patient care within the scope of practice and is accountable for the care of assigned patients. The role includes directing and guiding patient and family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care. The RN communicates with physicians about changes in patients’ clinical conditions, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptoms, and responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.

Requirements

• Hold a current and valid state RN license.
• Have a current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain it.
• Complete Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Have a current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain it.

Nice To Haves

• Previous acute care hospital experience.
• Ventilator management experience.
• Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) or similar certification.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

• Direct and guide patient and family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Telemetry Unit.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patients’ clinical conditions, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic results, and symptoms.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patients’ conditions or responses to treatment.
