Registered Nurse RN -Tele
About The Position
The Registered Nurse provides safe patient care in the Telemetry Unit using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The role provides direct patient care within the scope of practice and directs and guides patient and family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care. The nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care of assigned patients and communicates with physicians about changes in clinical condition, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptoms. The nurse must respond quickly and accurately to changes in a patient’s condition or response to treatment. This is a full-time day-shift position at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois. The schedule is 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., with rotating weekends. A sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 is available to qualified candidates; eligibility and payout terms apply and are discussed during the interview process.
Requirements
- Current and valid state RN license.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintained thereafter.
- Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
- Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintained thereafter.
Nice To Haves
- Previous acute-care hospital experience.
- Ventilator management experience.
- Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) or similar certification.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Responsibilities

- Remain accountable for the care delivered to assigned patients.
- Communicate with physicians about changes in patients’ clinical conditions, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptoms.
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment.
