About The Position
The Registered Nurse provides safe patient care in the Telemetry Unit using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The role provides direct patient care within the scope of practice and directs and guides patient and family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care. The nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care of assigned patients, communicates with physicians about changes in clinical condition—including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptoms—and responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. This is a full-time day-shift position at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois, scheduled for three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. A sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates; eligibility and payout terms apply, with details discussed during the interview process.
Requirements
- Current and valid state RN license.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current certification.
- Complete Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
- Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current certification.
Nice To Haves
- Previous acute care hospital experience.
- Ventilator management experience.
- Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) or similar certification.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Responsibilities
