About The Position
St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Women's Health 1B Unit at Edgewood Hospital. The licensed registered nurse is responsible and accountable for providing evidence-based clinical care to designated patients using the nursing process. This includes assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care according to established ethical and cultural codes and nursing practice standards, while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to achieve patient outcomes. The nurse is expected to demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness, and empathy in every encounter with patients, families, visitors, and employees, regardless of cultural background. The position is listed as regular, with 60 hours per biweekly pay period and a night shift schedule of 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- If eligible, hold a Compact (multi-state) License in the primary state of residence.
- Meet contact-hour requirements for licensure, including all state-required courses.
- Have an educational focus that promotes the ability to practice in the assigned clinical area.
- Demonstrate knowledge of nursing theory, clinical practice standards, procedures, and policies.
- Demonstrate competence in mathematical calculations associated with medication administration.
- Be competent to independently perform safe nursing skills and procedures.
- Successfully complete preceptorship and orientation to the facility and clinical area.
- Be able to critically think and problem-solve in routine and emergency situations.
