Registered Nurse- Medical Surgical
About The Position
Saint Luke's North Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Medical Surgical Unit. The Med/Surg Nurse collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to care for patients with a variety of conditions, acuity levels, and treatment plans, including some telemetry patients. The role offers variety in day-to-day work and opportunities to expand nursing skills. The nurse utilizes the nursing process, performs patient care, delegates care tasks, and supervises other patient care staff. The nurse coordinates care plans for assigned patients and consults with other members of the healthcare team as needed to support optimal patient outcomes. The clinical nurse demonstrates proficiency and follows applicable policies, rules, guidelines, and procedures. The position is full-time, 36 hours, on day shifts. The unit has a supportive leadership team and Nursing Assistants to assist. Intensivists and nurse practitioners work alongside RNs during shifts, and Respiratory Therapy is available at night. Extra incentives are available for picking up additional shifts.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of applicable experience.
- Registered Nurse (MO) credential through the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS).
- Associate degree.
