About The Position

Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse provides individualized, goal-directed patient care to patients and families at a competent level, using the principles and practices of the nursing process. The nurse delivers safe and effective care and works with other members of the health care team to achieve desired results. The position is with the Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA), in the 4H IICU cost center. A $30,000 sign-on bonus is offered to experienced new hires.

Requirements

• Associate degree in nursing.
• Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or a recognized equivalent, or American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required.
• Ability to perform the listed physical and mental job functions, including standing, sitting, walking, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds unassisted, and exerting up to 50 pounds of force.
• Ability to deal effectively with stressful situations.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime as required.
• Ability to work in a latex-safe environment.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
