Registered Nurse (RN) Step Down

About The Position

Provides safe, efficient, age-specific nursing care to patients and families using the nursing process to help them attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health. This is a part-time, day-shift position in a step-down unit. A $4,000 sign-on bonus is offered to external candidates with at least one year of RN experience.

Requirements

At least one year of RN experience.
Diploma in Nursing or an Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Knowledge of the nursing process and nursing practice.
Proficiency using a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and provide prescribed clinical therapies, such as stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers, and electronic monitoring devices.
Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio and/or a Multi-State Compact license, required upon hire.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, required upon hire or to be obtained during nursing orientation.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
Master in Nursing (MN).
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), if required by the unit's clinical care standards.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), if required by the unit's clinical care standards.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Comply with applicable policies and standards, including requirements for the safe and secure handling of patients’ Protected Health Information (PHI).
