About The Position

Raleigh General Hospital is hiring a full-time, night-shift Registered Nurse for its in-person Emergency Services team. The rural Emergency Department is a 20-bed unit focused on patient-centered care in a supportive, friendly environment. The team offers self-scheduling and values teamwork and quality outcomes.

The Registered Nurse assesses patients, identifies their needs, provides appropriate nursing care, documents care in the medical record, and develops and updates interdisciplinary care plans. Applicants must hold a current state RN license and a bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school. Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire, and ACLS and PALS certifications are required within six months. One year of experience and ASLS certification are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate and thorough patient assessments and identify patient needs.
• Initiate appropriate nursing interventions based on assessment findings.
• Provide age- and condition-appropriate nursing care.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation supporting medical necessity in the medical record.
• Develop, implement, and revise interdisciplinary care plans for each patient.
