About The Position

Raleigh General Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for its Emergency Services department. The role is in person and scheduled for full-time night shifts. The nurse will provide patient-centered care in a rural, 20-bed Emergency Department that emphasizes teamwork, quality outcomes, and self-scheduling. Raleigh General Hospital is part of Lifepoint Health, a healthcare delivery network. The hospital is a 300-bed facility in Beckley, West Virginia.

Requirements

• Current state Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within six months of hire.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within six months of hire.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience preferred.
• ASLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate and thorough patient assessments and identify patient needs.
• Initiate appropriate nursing interventions based on assessment findings.
• Provide age- and condition-appropriate nursing care.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation supporting medical necessity in the medical record.
• Develop, implement, and revise interdisciplinary care plans for each patient.
