About The Position

Clinch Valley Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for Emergency Services. The role is at Clinch Valley Medical Center, a 175-bed acute care hospital serving the Richlands community. The nurse provides patient-centered care by assessing patients, identifying their needs, initiating appropriate interventions, providing care suited to each patient’s condition and age, documenting medical necessity in the medical record, and completing and revising each patient’s Interdisciplinary Care Plan. The position is full-time, working nights from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., with rotating weekends.

Requirements

• Active Virginia single-state RN license or compact RN license. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence before employment begins.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days.

Nice To Haves

• Previous emergency department (ED) experience.

Responsibilities

• Accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs.
• Identify and initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provide care appropriate to the patient’s condition and age.
• Complete timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
• Complete and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
