About The Position

North Alabama Shoals Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, is hiring a Registered Nurse for Emergency Services. The Emergency Department is a fast-paced, team-driven environment where nurses work with experienced providers and supportive colleagues to provide timely, compassionate care across a wide range of emergency conditions. The role supports patient-centered outcomes and offers opportunities to grow clinical skills. The schedule is full-time, three 12-hour shifts.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in nursing required.
• BCLS required.
• ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
• New graduates are welcome to apply.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
• ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care preferred.
• Two to three years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial or spiritual support needs.
• Evaluate patient and family learning needs and provide appropriate education based on age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
• Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.
