About The Position

Under the supervision of CASA’s APRN, PA, or Medical Director, the Registered Nurse coordinates, assesses, and implements nursing and medical services at the Casa Hostos Residential Clinics. The role also assists Supportive Housing Programs with medication reconciliation. The position may require participation in an on-call rotation and occasional weekend hours.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse with two years of experience in ambulatory detoxification and/or chemically supported treatment.
• Current Connecticut nursing license.
• Maintain nursing license and CPR qualifications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Bilingual in Spanish.
• Able to interact cross-culturally and appreciate Latino and African American cultures.
• Growth-oriented and willing to set and work toward professional goals.
• Willingness to develop continuing skills in multicultural competency within a behavioral health setting.
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Methadone Maintenance is preferred.
