About The Position

The Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for managing resident care using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate resident outcomes. The nurse directs and guides nursing care, resident education, and related care activities while maintaining professional nursing standards and collaborating with other disciplines as appropriate. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position at the CVPH Skilled Nursing Facility in Plattsburgh, New York, with a night shift from 10:45 PM to 7:15 AM and an every-other-weekend schedule. It is a bargaining union position.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Currently licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with other health care personnel.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Meet the requirements of physical/pre-placement screening.
• As applicable, have training or competency in attending to the special needs and/or behaviors appropriate to the age of patients receiving care.

• Previous experience preferred.
